Vintage 8 Day Spring Antique Mantle Clock 1920-30’s Wind Up Clockwork eith very nice dark Oak Wood frame

This lovely antique vintage mantle clock has a solid oak wood frame fitted with its original brass clockwork wind up spring mechanism motor.

The dial front shows no makers mark just the world ‘ 8 DAY ‘ and ‘Foreign’

The clock is heavy and solid. 1065 grams Attractive dark oak grain pattern

The silver coloured dial face has black Arabic numerals numbers and black hour and minute hands.

The round dial face has the original chrome metal bezel and original dome shaped real glass.

Glass in in very good condition for its age with no scratches damage or chips.

The rear brass ? Motor spring housing backing plate is easily removed by screwing off the spring winding up knob and removing 3 screws for easy maintenance. I have done this simply to take photos of the original brass mechanism motor.

For info the number 314102 is stamped on the brass motor mechanism and the letter ‘D’ is embossed on the base of the clock.

The white metal knurled knob is to move the hands ie set the correct time.

There is also a sliding fast / slow adjustment bar behind the metal hinged window in the backing plate which I have not touched as having wound the clock and tested it - so far it runs very well with good timekeeping.

There is a pleasant tick tock noise emanating from the clock.
