Two parts in one volume.

Bound in full modern panelled antique style calf, with lovely modern red morocco title label. It measures approx 19.4cm x 16.7cm x 3.3cm. The binding has a few light surface scuffs, else good, firm and attractive. Internally, there are modern endpapers to the front and rear. There is an original blank to both the front and rear, both of which are a little browned with a little foxing. The title page is a little browned, lightly grubby, and a little worn/nicked to the top and bottom corner tips. There is some light toning in places, and the odd scattered mark. A couple of leaves have some rust spots/markings to the lower edges. A number of maps have been trimmed to within their plate mark, and approximately 20 maps have been trimmed within their decorative scroll borders, thus with partial loss of decoration, in places, see images closely. There are a couple of light grubby marks to text leaves. Else, the contents are in rather lovely condition throughout. A complete, and superior copy. 

The title page is printed in red and black.

[6], 8 p, and 100 double-page engraved road maps. Bound without second title-page as is usual.
Complete.

Includes a dedication to King George I, although apparently not found in other copies, and not mentioned by Chubb.

Each map contains vertical strips depicting routes, each with a compass rose showing orientation. Each has title, with, distances in miles, furlongs, etc, and depict towns, villages, churches, windmills, rivers, hills and other topographical and geographical detail.

A superior example of this scarce, first, and only edition.

Shipping

  • We will gladly ship anywhere in the World.
  • We offer FREE UK domestic shipping, fully tracked and insured.
  • We use several services for overseas shipping, under 5kg usually shipped via Royal Mail Tracked. Heavier shipments or faster courier services are available, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred method.
  • We combine shipping for multiple items (Please wait to be invoiced for multiple purchases for accurate costings).
  • We will also gladly hold purchased items to allow for larger combined shipments, (Please let us know before payment).
  • All shipping costs are weight dependent.
  • We ship at cost.

Packaging
All our books will be carefully and securely packaged in custom made book boxes (The majority of which are produced Carbon Neutral). The Bubble packaging and boxes are all recyclable, and most tape used is environmentally friendly (we are constantly researching ways to reduce our environmental impact without compromising safe, secure and affordable shipping). We aim to send all items within 24-48 hours of payment.

Returns Policy
If you are unhappy in any way, for whatever reason, with the transaction or the item, please contact us as soon as possible. Your item is fully refundable if not as described.
