For sale is this fine late 18th century French drawing, a find in a collection near Montargis a short while ago.
The drawing, executed in pencil on 18th century laid paper, depicts two studies of classical figures below, a small scetch showing a face mid and an architectural study top.
Authorship : the drawing is from the French Neoclassical School.
Period : ca. 1790-1800.
Size : 18,2x19cm.
Condition : Good. Some scattered dirt throughout. Bottom zone left : one tiny hole. Right side : traces of wrinkling. Sides slightly irregular of shape. Back side : traces of previous attaching. Unframed.
