From a private collection in the periphery of Paris (Malakoff), I managed to buy a small collection of nine 18th century studies for interior decoration (by different artists and in different techniques) and one study for a monument..  The collection included also one 18th century print with the same subject.

The drawing, executed in pen, ink and gray wash on 18th century laid watermarked paper, depicts two studies for a church decoration, showing elements of the Catholic lithurgy.

Authorship : the drawing is from the French School of the later Rococo period.  An attribution to the circle of Etienne de Lavalée (Rouen ca. 1733 - Paris 1793) seems to be obvious.

Period : ca. 1770-1780.

Size : 34,5x21,9cm (without mat).

Condition : Fairly good.  The drawing has been the subject of a carefull clean.  Some scattered dirt throughout.  Traces of spots (reduced after cleaning the drawing).  Top zone left : traces of folding.  Matted.  Unframed.

Shipping : flat shippingrate 20$.  Shipped as International Registered Mail (with trackingn°).  Combined shipping available.
Please note that shipping delays (beyond the estimated delivery by ebay) are possible by exception (mostly caused by a local customs check our a handling delay by local postal services).  In this case you can contact me and I will do my best to help you out.
I also offer an express shipping service (handling mostly by DHL).  This service is at a cost double of the indicated shipping cost in the listing.  In case you prefer this service, I must ask you to indicate this to me in a message as quickly as possible after a sale, giving me the oportunity to modify the invoice.
