Picco 21 P5 CAR RE ABC Speed 1/8 RC Model Car Racing Engine Vintage!

One hot Picco from Monza, Italy!

A vintage 1980's Picco from Gualtiero, 1/8 scale world championship winning pedigree engine, a sought after engine for RC circuit racing cars (PB, SG, Associated, Delta, etc) & even vintage buggies, e.g. Kyosho Landjump & similar.

This Picco features a robust 1-piece sand-cast aluminium alloy crankcase, Schnuerle porting with triple inlet boost ports, ABC piston cylinder assembly (with hard chrome plating), large bore crankshaft with high speed bearings & normal type front end, cast alloy heat-sink cylinder head with horizontal & vertical cooling fins & the excellent Picco RC slide carb; quick & easy to tune & service in the heat of competition.

Tech Specs (from Picco):
Displacement: 3.44cc
Bore: 16.55mm
Stroke: 16.00mm
Power: 1.60hp at 25,000rpm
Weight: 300g

Condition wise, this engine turns over smoothly with new engine compression.  It was set-up as a custom back-up engine (for a F3S speed plane).  It's now returned to Car status with Picco Car racing head & slide carby & will need to be run-in.  Engine has a few handling marks.  Please see photos.  The patina & burnish reflects its age.  Sorry no original box & instructions.  An opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable vintage Picco 1/8 car engines without the NIB premium.

The last photo shows the Picco Aereo head & prop driver that are not included in the auction & can be listed on ebay, should you need this engine for a speed plane.  It makes for probably the most powerful 3.5cc speed plane engine this side of a custom tuned Rossi 3.5 Piranha.

International bidders are welcome!  Shipping worldwide with tracking number.

About the new "ebay payments" interface just introduced by ebay & its effect on dispatch time
We all got used to ebay purchases with PayPal payments, that cleared immediately, resulting in fast dispatch.  Ebay have now introduced "ebay payments".  Ebay are saying "The payout will generally be initiated within 2 business days from the order confirmation. Once initiated it typically takes up to 4 business days for the funds to clear in your account and become available to you".  Thusly, this new "ebay payments" interface could add up to 6 working days to dispatch time compared to the aforementioned PayPal payments.  The onus is on the seller to keep checking when payment has cleared.  I imagine somebody will get a bonus for this.  This new payments thingy forced upon us (you can't opt-out of it) has therefore added 5 working days to my dispatch time.  Please bear this in mind before placing your bid.

Please note the item is for sale by a private individual & in accordance with section 2.18 of the DTI (Department of Trade & Industry) OFT (Office of Fair Trading) Distance Selling Guide Sept 2006, the guidance for UK implementation of the EU consumer DSR (Distance Selling Regulations), so this item is NOT subject to return nor refund.
