A beautiful antique Art Nouveau, scarce, Jewellery box. It is marked on the base for WMF, see photos. A Genuine piece of real Jugenstil flowing, organic Art Nouveau design, at its peak time of real beauty. This would once have been lustrously silver plated. Owing to age and wear it has nearly all gone. The base metal appears to be brass. The interior is lined with a fragrant wood. It may once have had a lining. This box is overall in sound condition. The metal ware is good. May be worth a restoring. However, its beauty is in its patina, its aging, its natural appearance through love, life and wear and tear. I am sure it could tell a lot of stories. Dimensions 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" high. I have not added the legs into the measurements. The photos show all the details and more. Please inspect photos.
