This rare item is AS IS on the lid only, it has been repaired and the repair has turned yellow with time. This is the Antique English Staffordshire White Salt Glazed Stoneware teapot with the floral tree design and the Squirrel and Butterfly motif. The body of the teapot has the melon rib design and the finial is a flower bud. This measures 6-1/2" tall and is 7-1/2" wide side to side. The knob at the top has been broken off at some time in the past and re-attached, this is the area that has turned yellow, see photos. The only markings on the base are the number 18, the letter U, the number 297 and an Anchor Mark that looks like two Letter "J" back to back with a line across the upper part and 2 sm square dots. The body is excellent condition, just the AS IS on the lid knob.
