VEMURAM Butter Machine

The "Butter Machine" was developed in collaboration with Michael Landau to create his ideal distortion pedal, and many prototypes were created over the past two years. The result is Michael Landau's signature distortion pedal, the result of repeated adjustments based on feedback from Michael Landau's own use in the field. The pedal has been tested and tweaked not only at his own gigs, sessions, and support sessions, but also in numerous recording studios and at his home studio in Los Angeles, where new ideas were implemented and various improvements were made. The result is a distortion pedal that is very usable and can be used in a wide range of applications, from overdrive to distortion. The result is a new distortion pedal that is easy to add dynamics to the sound and allows the guitarist to control the picking nuance.

Michael Landau himself commented.
I have been using the SD9 as my main distortion pedal for a very long time, and I have always been bothered by the mix of "little" good parts and "little" bad parts in this pedal. For example, the pedal's knobs must be set very carefully to avoid too much compression and a sharp, trebly sound. So a few years ago, I asked Daiya (Tri-Sound's representative) if he could design a distortion pedal without excessive compression, and without the sharp high end, based on the good sound quality of the SD9.
The process started by taking the best parts of the SD9 sound as a reference, but after repeated trial and error during development, the new Vemuram distortion pedal is the result of many improvements and ideas implemented in this pedal. In addition to the three gain, volume, and tone knobs, the new Vemuram distortion pedal has two trim pots on top that allow the user to fine-tune the tone in a unique way not often found on other distortion pedals.
The final version of the Vemuram distortion pedal has an open, natural "feeling" overdrive sound that I would describe as perfect. There is plenty of gain and sustain, of course, and the sound is clear and punchy even when the guitar volume is turned down. It is also easy to adjust the overdrive sound (distortion) to be sufficient while still maintaining a musical element.
We named this pedal the "Butter Machine. We named this pedal the "Butter Machine" and you will understand why when you play it.
We hope you will find it a very satisfying sound experience!

The "Butter sound" of the Butter Machine is a slang term for a pleasant guitar distortion sound among LA musicians and guitarists.
From Michael Landau.
