Derby Bentley Starting Handle.

The handle moves freely.

I've been advised by two kind ebayers that it's possible to sperate the handle from the shaft. I poured hydraulic oil into the end by the handle and left it all last night and all day today (Wed 10th April). Checking this evening the oil had soaked away. Starting handle in one hand and soft leather mallet in the other and two gentle taps and the splines were disengaged. This is what I love about old Bentleys and Rolls Royces....

Measurements:

Shaft : approximately  20 1/2 ".

Handle: approximately 7 1/2 ".
