Undoubtedly, Blancpain is most famous for two of its iconic series: the Fifty Fathoms, a legendary diver's model in every respect, and the Villeret, a series encompassing all the elegant models of the brand. However, there is one less popular series, with not many models and which has been discontinued in the past, only to restart its life again in 2019 - the Air Command. The series was created in the 1960s specifically for the French Ministry of Defense, which sought a suitable watch with a black dial, luminescent-coated hands and markers, and a Flyback function mechanism. Although the watch was not chosen by the French Ministry, Blancpain set a new target - the United States Air Force. It was the Air Command that was proposed to the USA, and Blancpain produced a small number of limited editions.

The case of this masterpiece of watchmaking, with its 42.5mm, is made of high-quality titanium - precisely this version was introduced in 2021 and has the honor of being the newest member of the series. The blue dial, Arabic numerals, oversized indices, and sapphire bezel - all of these elements only emphasize the sporty spirit of this watch. And the blue leather strap only enhances its presence.

The case back of the watch is open, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful mechanics bearing the name Blancpain Calibre F388B (a flyback chronograph with a column wheel, a power reserve of over 50 hours, and 35 jewels).
