The company Graham, specializing in the production of high-quality watches, was founded by George Graham in 1673 in London. During the 17th and 18th centuries, London was one of the centers of horological art. As a highly developed city, it was home to many merchants, members of the Royal Society, and many of the highest-ranking representatives of the British fleet. All of them felt the need for instruments to precisely and uncompromisingly track time.

Like many Britons at the time, Graham was more interested in developing new ideas than in making money. He was the inventor of many inventions but never patented them. For example, he is the creator of the first chronometer. By devising a system involving a pendulum of mercury, he improved the accuracy of timepieces at both high and low temperatures. Graham is also the creator of the basic clock in the Greenwich Royal Observatory.

The watch presented here celebrates the brand's passion for both racing tracks and beautiful mechanics. As you know, Silverstone is one of the most famous and historically significant racing circuits for motor racing, especially for Formula 1. True to its name, this watch evokes modern races with cars made of contemporary materials, the result of complex systems of tests and simulations. The watch is designed to pay tribute to both the brave pilots and all the talented engineers devoted to these works of art on wheels.

The gentlemen behind the wheel are solely focused on their cars, and their passion for driving is sometimes stronger than winning the race itself. It all boils down to technical development, pure mechanics, and a great passion for cars… just like in watchmaking.

The Graham Silverstone RS Silverstone is based on the same principles – this watch is created in accordance with the codes of retro racing, combined with modern technological innovations. The black dial, made of carbon fibers, is well-balanced with its semi-opened portion and cleverly combined with a sturdy rubber strap resembling racing tires (the only difference being that instead of the Pirelli logo we're used to seeing in Formula 1, the Graham logo is depicted on the strap), and the contrasting red and white hands indicate that the watch is made to serve practical purposes. However, the racer has no time to dwell on his wrist while navigating through the chicane.

The streamlined steel bezel with a tachymetric scale on it (a reference to the outer ring of a car dashboard) and the recessed chronograph buttons complement the sporty look. The standard 42-millimeter case adds to the practicality and comfort of the watch. The three red hands (the second hand and those on both sub-dials), the white details, and the black carbon dial create a fantastic combination, complemented by the SuperLuminova coating.

The transparent caseback, covered with sapphire, reveals the charm of the brand's automatic chronograph. Dynamic design, excellent accuracy, sporty appearance, modern charisma – these are just a few of the watch's characteristics that make it perfect not only for fans of motor racing.
