Rare early original vintage No. 4 Folding Kodak Camera (Satchel Style) with early hard to find sector shutter.

The original 1890 4x5 inch model shown here used 48-exposure roll film and had a distinctive sector shutter. A price of $50 for the 1890 model (roughly equivalent to $1,354 in year 2016 currency!) was very expensive, which might explain the rarity of these original models.

This was the first folding camera for roll film only using the Eastman Walker roll holder. This camera was able to take 48 exposures, 4 x 5 inch in size. Features included a reversible finder, rapid rectilinear lens, multiple diaphragm settings, Time and instantaneous action, folding compact satchel style design. The camera measures 6 5/8 x 7 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches when closed.
