Here is an 1893 Columbian Expo & World’s Fair souvenir that doesn’t come up often. It’s a ruby stained square toothpick holder with nearly all the gorgeous red intact. I’ve only seen this particular design with all the red gone.

As shown, the four sides feature: Columbus; Vespucci; the royal crown seal of the UK; the American eagle. My research indicates this was likely a British supplied souvenir.

It’s in amazing shape, only a couple areas on corners where the red is gone. Otherwise it is as new. Really a lovely piece from 131 years ago!!
