This pure silk mikado dress from Amanda Wakeley's 2007 mainline collection is offered in the midnight navy blue shade and features a flattering softly curved square scoop neckline, sleeveless design, a corset type bodice all around with vertical topstitched dart seams to highlight the bodice and waist, feature curved seams to sculpt your figure, and a centre back vent. The contrast lining is silky soft and luxurious.
This dress is an exact match with the Amanda Wakeley Midnight Blue Silk Mikado jacket as pictured, with the same seam detailing, fabric and lining. (I have shown the dress alongside the matching jacket for illustration purposes only. The jacket is not included in the sale).

Condition: Good original vintage condition. A few crease lines to back skirt that dry cleaning may improve.
If you have the matching jacket, this piece will complete the suit.
The PoW was photographed wearing her suit with both a dress and a skirt on separate occasions. This dress could be altered to fit any size less than size UK14 if you so desired or it could be altered to create a skirt for any size less than and including up to a size UK14, depending on your requirements.
The fabric label states 100% silk.
You should be aware that the fabric of this dress is silk mikado which is a type of silk taffeta and so inevitably it will crease to some extent as the famous photos show, as this is the natural characteristic of this type of fabric.
