**Paris. De l'imprimerie de F. Dufart. c1798. 9 volumes, [vol's 114, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 123, 124 of the greater set which are vols 8, 10-17 of the Plants and Botany set]. All volumes bound in recent brown cloth [apart from vols 13 and 15 on black cloth, with gilt titles, vol numbers and library numbers to the spine. Measuring on average; 19.8cm x 13.7cm. From the Histoire Naturelle Generale Et Particuliere Des Plantes series. Taken from a greater incomplete set [see other auctions] we have divided these into subject matter. This auction being for Plants and Botany. Ex Brooklyn library with stamps upper and lower fore-edge, and stamps to plates. French text.**

Vol 8 with 12 engraved plates, Vol 10 with 13 plates, Vol 11 with 13 plates, Vol 12 with 9 plates, Vol 13 with 11 plates, Vol 14 with 9 plates, Vol 15 with 10 plates, Vol 16 with 8 plates, Vol 17 with 14 plates.

Condition: See photos as part of condition report: All volumes bound in a recent brown [and black] library cloth. Holding firmly, gilt markings to the spines. Brooklyn library stamps to the upper and lower fore-edge. Plate to the FFEP, bound with modern endpapers and pastedowns. Text blocks mostly firm, perforated library stamp to the title's with markings. plates with library stamps. Pages and plates with occasional light browning and foxing. We noticed a few tears to the margins, occasional lightly cropped margin to the plates.We counted 99 engraved plate over the 9vol, though we suspect this is mostly compete, possibly lacking a few plates.
