ITEM: Antique 19th century Japanese Buddhist traveling shrine with Zushi box. Features carved wood and polychrome Buddhist statue, whom I believe is Fengshui, God of Wealth. He has a gold ingit crown and is holding a money bag. He is wood with hand painted polychrome detailing. His halo appears to be metal and is polychrome painted, as well. Wooden Zushi Box has lacquered finish with gold gilted interior and (2) doors with metal hinges. Detailed, all original from an old Central Ohio estate full of antiques and Asian Art.
SIZE: Approximately 5.5" tall x 4" across and 3.25" deep. Weighs 8 oz before packaging
CONDITION: Minor wear to the original polychrome, gold gilt and lacqured finishes. No chips or cracks that I see. Doors open/close/latch properly. Any light spots are reflections from lighting. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS AS WE CONSIDER THEM TO BE PART OF THE CONDITION DESCRIPTION.
