This is a circa 1957, like new, Sheaffer's Admiral model snorkel fountain pen set in burgundy, complete with case and instructions.  It is an earlier example with an excellent Scheaffer 5 14K nib which is also marked F2.  The fountain pen measures 6 1/4" posted and 5 1/2" closed. The cap and barrel show virtually no use and it is personalized in gold with "Compliments of the I.O.W.U." imprinted on the barrel. The pen had been inked and it fills and works fine. No cracks, chips, scratches, bite marks or other wear concerns.  Over all condition is E.

The matching mechanical pencil measures 5" and is also in like new condition.  No personalization had been added.

Both pens have gold trim with no brassing.  Excellent iridium tips and the cap screws on smoothly. Both pens are complete with case and printed instructions. The inside of the instructions show the inclusion of a name and city likely written on it by this pen.

The Snorkel was manufactured from 1955-1959.  This example does not have the hooded style nib, thus the estimate of the year of manufacture.  Regardless, it is a an overall clean, outstanding set with extremely little use.
