JBL ProFlora CO2 Advanced Bio Set

JBL ProFlora CO2 Advanced Bio Set

  • Organic CO2 fertilizer system for strong and beautiful aquarium plants in freshwater aquariums with 40-110 l
  • Provides aquarium plants with the main nutrient CO2 for healthy and strong growth and thus prevents algae
  • Simple assembly: Mix biocomponents with water in the reaction bottle, connect the hose with the return flow safety device and the reactor. Place the reaction vessel in the thermal protection - done
  • Natural: CO2 production through the biological fermentation process. Efficient: 2x40 days of consistent CO2 production through immediate and long-term buffer systems. Biocomponents can be purchased individually for refilling
  • No CO2 pressure bottle necessary. The system works exclusively via a biological process in a high-quality, transparent reaction vessel

Scope of delivery:
Ready-to-connect organic CO2 fertilizer system, incl. Reaction vessel, thermal protection, 2x bio components, 3 m special CO2 hose, suction holder, backflow protection, expandable reactor

Food for aquarium plants
Plants provide the aquarium with vital oxygen for the aquarium inhabitants, prevent algae growth, remove pollutants, provide hiding places and reduce pathogens. The JBL plant fertilizer system supplies the plants with the main nutrient CO2 via water. The plants absorb this and convert it into sugar and oxygen in photosynthesis with the help of light.

Difference between bio-CO2 and compressed gas cylinder CO2 systems:
Bio-CO2 systems are based on the biological process of yeast fermentation, which produces CO2. Here, 2 organic components are reacted in a bottle/reaction vessel. To "refill" after about 40 days, the reaction bottle/vessel only needs to be refilled with water and the two organic components.
With the CO2 compressed gas cylinder system, the CO2 gas is available in steel pressure cylinders at around 60 bar. When they are empty, they can be refilled by specialist retailers (reusable bottles, M-system) or they are disposable bottles (U-system) that can simply be replaced.

The plants don't care at all where the CO2 comes from, whether from organic or pressure bottle systems. They grow significantly more once a CO2 system has been installed. The systems are more relevant to the aquarist. Does he want disposable bottles, or refillable pressure bottles or a pressureless biosystem.

In addition to CO2 fertilization, it is important to also take into account the other components that are necessary for healthy and strong growth of the aquarium plants: the right light, sufficient fertilization with minerals and trace elements, ideally root fertilization for strongly rooted plants, the right water temperature ( usually between 23 and 26 °C) and no herbivorous fish.
