Antique Edwardian c1905 American "Sessions" Oak Cased Chiming Mantel Clock.

 

This is a large antique Edwardian c1905 American "Sessions" chiming mantel clock. This is in excellent condition and is in full working order. It has a Napoleon hat shaped oak body with decorative scrolled sides and brass feet. The oak has a medium and dark brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain and a soft subtle shine. The face is circular in shape with a white coloured metal chapter ring, black coloured numerals and black coloured hands. The face is protected by a circular convex glass door with a brass bezel. The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, chips or cracks. To the rear is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and also in excellent condition. The chime is very unique, whereby it chime on the half hour using the bell (once), and it chimes on hour using the coil (chiming the number of hours). This comes complete with its pendulum and key. The clock was cleaned and serviced on the 4th May 2024.
