Fujigen is a private brand of guitars made by Fujigen, a Japanese guitar manufacturing factory with world-class technical capabilities. Fujigen is renowned for its high level of technical expertise and has a long history of OEM production for various guitar brands, both domestic and international, including Fender Japan, Ibanez, G&L, Musicman, Epiphone, and YAMAHA.
The body is made of lightweight basswood, known for its wide frequency range and minimal tonal bias, with a maple neck and granadillo fingerboard. With its deep cutaway, it offers a modern jazz bass vibe that makes it easy to play up to the high frets.
It features Fujigen's signature Circle Fretting System (C.F.S), where the frets are installed in an arc shape, eliminating scale position inconsistencies and pitch variations, resulting in a clearer sound and rich sustain.
The neck grip has a smooth satin finish, allowing for smooth lateral movement.
Additionally, the neck joint features a rounded heel corner joint, greatly improving playability in the high positions.
Equipped with two Fujigen original single-coil pickups and a Jazz Bass-style configuration of 2 volumes and 1 tone.
Both the pegs and bridge are Fujigen-made, and while it's a cost-effective model, the finishing touches, including neck assembly, wood processing, and fret edge treatment, are all precisely executed, showcasing the craftsmanship of this long-standing Japanese brand.
