The Xiphos is a double-edged, one-handed Iron Age straight short sword used by the ancient Greeks. It was a secondary battlefield weapon for the Greek armies after the dory or javelin. The classic blade was generally about 50–60 cm long. It was generally hung from a baldric under the left arm. The Xiphos' leaf-shaped design lent itself to both cutting and thrusting. Our version, is hand forged in Carbon Steel with a hand carved handle. The scabbard is made in wood, covered with 100% genuine leather.

This Xiphos is replicated from historical designs; its blade exhibits notable distal taper which ensures that it is a swift and agile performer. The well-carved and contoured grip fits nicely into the palm.

This Greek Xiphos has a leaf blade forged from high carbon steel; the hilt is steel with carved wood riveted to a thick tang to construct the grip. A steel guard and pommel cap complete the hilt.
