An original colour map of American Cities, published in the Selfridge Edition of The Times Atlas & Gazetteer of the World in 1922. John Bartholomew began work on The Times Atlas in 1916 using traditional methods such as copperplate engraving and is considered one of the Edinburgh company's most important works.

The cities featured are: Chicago, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Quebec, Montreal, San Francisco, Washington, Ottawa, Baltimore, Toronto, New Orleans, St Louis, Winnipeg.
