ORIGINAL FULL SIZE WW1 1914-15 STAR MEDAL TO  :  189371. C.H. STOREY. A.B. R.N.
Charles Herbert Storey served in the Royal Navy as Able Seaman, serving on many ships including the HMS INFLEXIBLE from 16th October 1914 to 5th March 1917. His service record indicates that he was on board this ship during the BATTLE OF THE FALKLAND ISLANDS, 8th December 1914, where the ship, along with the HMS Invincible, sank the German battle cruisers, SMS Scharnhorst and SMS Gneisenau. It would also indicate that he was on board the HMS Inflexible when it engaged in the bombardment of the Turkish fortifications at the DARDANELLES in 1915. His presence on board the ship at the battle of JUTLAND is confirmed, where the ship severely damaged the SMS Lutzow.
Charles Herbert Storey also served in the Royal Navy prior to WW1. Copy of his pre-war and wartime service record will be included.
