The cameo features a sensuous mermaid basking among ferns and ocean waves. The piece which is done in an alabaster white raised-relief image over a soft aqua blue background which shows the detail of the carving beautifully! The cameo measures 40x30 mm and the finished piece measures 2 1/8" across by 1 3/4" in length (NOT INCLUDING THE BAIL).

The cameo is set in a stunning, antiqued silver pewter, ART-DECO-styled 4-shell tip setting that has a hidden pendant bail and locking pin bar on back so this piece can be worn as a brooch or a pendant .
