Superb late Victorian sterling silver christening cup by Mappin & Webb in 1901. No engraving to the cartouche & it has never been engraved. Florid design in the classic Victorian manner. A wonderful example.
Marks: maker Mn&Wb (Mapin & Webb); lion silver mark; London assay office mark; date letter f for the year 1901. MAPPIN & WEBB LONDON.
Dimensions: approx 3½ inches tall.
Weight: 5.42 troy oz (168.6g).
Tarnishing to the interior but excellent condition.
