This is a piece of pottery by Cliff Stewart,  a well-known artist in the California arts scene. He has work in the American Museum of Ceramic Art and was a part of the California ceramics movement in the 1960s. I only know what I've researched online. I'm in no way knowledgeable in the terms and details surrounding ceramics or art in general. Please read all the details and view all pictures prior to purchasing. If you need more information or additional photos, please ask. I have tried to capture every angle of this piece to show all the details. The only defect I can recognize is the hitch on both parts of the train. Please refer to the pictures to know what I'm talking about. This is signed and dated (1965) by the artist. This piece consists of two separate pieces. The larger of the two weighs 5.1 pounds and is 13 inches long. The second, smaller piece, is 2.1 pounds and 8 inches long. I picked this up at a reuse center because it's very  unique and heavy. I could tell it was high quality and made by someone very talented.  I used it as decoration in my sons nursery for a while. I can't be sure how it ended up there or how it was handled prior to me buying it. My asking price is based on the information I've acquired through Google and the price his other work has sold for. I'm open to reasonable offers. I will pack this very safety and securely to ensure it arrives unharmed. The packing may not look pretty, but it will be functional.
