2009 Yankee Stadium Inaugural Season First Ever Appearance of the Toronto Blue Jays vs New York Yankees pin

Very limited - only 125 made.

THE FOURTEENTH PIN IN THE SERIES Toronto Blue Jays vs New York Yankees, July 3 - 6, 2009.

This MLB licensed, silver toned, series of pins, commemorates the first appearance/games of each opponent in the NEW YANKEE STADIUM. Each pin measures about 1-3/4" tall by 1.3" wide and features the Inaugural Season logo, most prominently seen on the Yankees' uniform hats. I believe these are the first pins to use this Inaugural Season logo. THIS LISTING IS ONLY FOR THE ONE PIN AS NOTED, ABOVE.

There are ONLY 125 of each pin and they are individually numbered xxx/125 on the back. A unique set to commemorate what is an historic year, on the grandest stage, for the most storied / honored franchise in sports - the New York Yankees.

The pins are silver toned, and the diamond containing "vs", the arch containing "Inaugural Season", along with some other elements, are shiny silver and don't show well in the picture. The dark variations in these shiny surfaces are reflections picked up by the shiny surfaces only in the picture not actually seen on the pin itself.

Commemorate the first time events and matchups that will make this venue the one of the most important in baseball, continuing the tradition of the old Yankee Stadium, and contributed to by the likes of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe Dimaggio, Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Reggie Jackson, Whitey Ford, Alex Rodriguez, and Derek Jeter.
