1975-76 TOPPS/OPC HOCKEY NEAR SET + 208 DUPLICATES INC. STARS & ROOKIE CARDS!

This lot contains a near set of 1975-76 Topps (and OPC) hockey cards as well as a number of duplicates from both companies. In total, over 500 cards from this year are present. A more detailed breakdown is as follows:

1975-76 TOPPS/OPC HYRID NEAR SET (305/330) ORR, GILLIES RC, DRYDEN, LAFLEUR + MORE!

Both O-Pee-Chee (printed in Canada) and Topps (printed in USA) are present but the vast majority are from the American version. With that at the forefront, 305 of the 330 cards in the 1975-76 Topps hockey set are present. Again, most are Topps, with a small amount being filled in with OPC. The missing cards are listed below but are mostly commons. As such, most of the key cards are present including #35 Dryden, #100 Bobby Orr (O-Pee-Chee), #126 Lafleur, #199 Gillies RC, #275 Denis Potvin (O-Pee-Chee) #288 Orr All-Star and all 3 checklists (#99, 171, 267). 

CONDITION:

The first 10 cards and a few others intermittently (i.e. #109, 110) show noticeable elastic band marks. Cards #11-20 also show this flaw but to a less noticeable degree. The only other low grade cards are as follows:

#32 Charron, #121 Marks, #159 Dupere, #168 Hammerstrom, #208 Esposito/Lafleur/Martin, #212 Esposito/Martin/Grant, #272 Mulvey, #295 Vickers AS, #297 Vachon AS, #325 Flyers TL.

Beyond a small amount with wax stains on front, the rest of the cards in this near set are EX+, EX-MT or EX-MT+ with nice white borders, good colors and gloss.

All 3 checklists have EX+ or better corners but show pen marks and "1974-1975" written in pen on front. Both #99 and #267 are completely unmarked. #171 has a single square marked on back (#202 Watson) but is otherwise clean.

Fifteen (15) of the 16 team cards present, have clean, check-free backs. The only exception being #82 California Golden Seals.

Being that the majority of cards are Topps, and 330 cards are in the 1975-76 Topps hockey set, the following are missing: 

#12 Boldirev, 16 Dunlop, 21 Paradise, 30 Mikita, 50 P. Mahovlich, 61 Labre, 62 Graves, 81 Bruins team, 86 Kings team, 102 Russell, 108 Lewis, 115 G. Smith, 123 Nevin, 167 Butler, 175 Martin, 209 Assists Leaders, 211 Penalty Mins. Leaders, 238 Komadoski, 257 Hamel, 278 Gainey, 279 Beverly, 314 Bruins TL, 318 Wings TL, 321 North Stars TL, 327 Blues TL.

1975-76 TOPPS HOCKEY DUPLICATES (130 cards) GILLIES RC, POTVIN (x2), ORR ALL-STAR + MORE!

130 additional cards (duplicates) from the 1975-76 Topps hockey set are also part of this lot. While condition is mixed, and a small amount are lower grade, the majority are EX, EX+ or better.  Highlights include #1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, #64 Gare RC, #37 Middleton, #146 Greschner RC, #199 Clark Gillies RC (crease free, EX/EX+), #200 P. Esposito, #213 Parent/Vachon/Dryden,#260 Park, #275 D. Potvin (x2) both EX arguably EX+, #288 Bobby Orr AS (VG to VG/EX corners but image is clean/clear with nice colors and gloss), #292 P. Esposito AS, #296 Clarke AS, #297 Vachon AS, #305 Larouche RC.

1975-76 O-PEE-CHEE HOCKEY DUPLICATES (78 cards) CAMPBELL RC, SNEPSTS RC + MORE!

This lot closes with 78 cards from the 1975-76 O-Pee-Chee hockey set (printed in Canada). Condition ranges from low grade to VG or VG/EX. Highlights include Gare RC (#64), Sanderson (#73), Sittler (#150), Bourne RC (#163), Potvin AS (#287), Parent (#300), Colin Campbell RC (#346), Billy Smith (#372), Harold Snepsts RC (#396).
