Rare early original vintage stereoview shows a view from Government Wharf in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.

Back has ink inscription, “View from Government Wharf” and is signed “Hatch” possibly Capt. Joseph Hatch or more likely one of his descendants. There were a number of “Hatch’s” living in the Woods Hole area at that time.

This stereoview was given to me by my late aunt Josephine Crane who famously lived in Woods Hole for a number of years.

Stereoview photograph measures 3 1/2 x 7 inches and is in very good condition with a small chip missing from bottom left of right hand view.  There are no bends, tears, or creases and the image is very sharp and has strong tones with good contrast and clarity.
