This is vemuram's booster overdrive effector, Budi G. The sound separation is very good, and the bass does not become too boomy or the cords are not buried, which is common with boosters.
It's great as a booster, but I personally like the rich crunch sound it produces when the gain is turned up.
I tried out the 1000 series at a music store, and it seemed like the ones with lower serial numbers sounded better.
