Description
The body back is made of mahogany with beautiful undulations- and is completely solid- eliminating the 9-hole weight relief that was used until 2012.
This is still the specification that many Les Paul fans are looking for- and it seems that many people are looking for this years model.
The total weight is a reasonable 4.2 kg- and while it has the extended sustain typical of a Les Paul- it has a finish with a sense of extrusion.
The paint uses an all-lacquer finish- with the top painted in an elegant and rich iced tea burst-like color- and the back painted in a dark brown-like color that appears to have faded.
The neck also has a 50s round shape that is strongly conscious of Burst- but it is not too thick and has a shape that feels as little discomfort as possible.
The fingerboard has red-black undulations similar to Jacaranda- and most current Les Pauls are made of pure black rosewood- a color that is rarely seen these days.
The pickup is equipped with 57 Classic & 57 Classic Plus- which has a vintage-like sound that follows Gibson PAF.
The front has a very glossy and gorgeous tone- a warm and mellow sound- a delicate tone that reproduces nuances- and an accurate response.
