SANTA FE TALL GLOBE BELL BOTTOM RAILROAD LANTERN W/MATCHING CAST LOGO GLOBE.  Tall globe railroad lantern manufactured by Adams & Westlake, a "slick top" Adlake Reliable bell bottom version embossed on the bell very nicely, "SANTA FE" for the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. The frame has old silver paint present but is complete with the original bail, lid latch, one of two bail ears missing (these were very often broken off or removed by brakeman), correct globe retainer assembly, and the original Adams & Westlake fuel font with the patent dates around the top of the font, 1909 dated burner present. There is an old Bondo repair on the underside of the font. No holes, dents, or damage to the frame and features a very nice tall, clear cast logo globe with the famous Santa Fe cross. A very good strike on this one, Corning hallmarked on the backside. No large chips and one raised, mold flaw near the Cnx logo. There are NO cracks. A great old tag from Wellington, KS up top where the lantern was acquired by the previous owner back in 1982.
