The Sage 707 (made in Sweden by Loop, same as the Loop Mod 3) set the standard for large arbor reel a couple of decades ago, and is probably the ideal Euro Nymphing tool today.

The closed case will not grab even the thinnest of lines or leaders, and the large arbor lets you reset the length quickly, and works well with Spey and switch rods for trout, steelhead or (small) salmon. I used it mainly in stillwater for large, active trout and loved it. It will easily handle 5- to 9-weight lines with backing.

This classic reel shows slight signs of use (probably more visible in the photos than in real life) but has all its parts and performs flawlessly. I'm nearing 80 and thinning my herd, as it were, but this reel still has lots of fishing left.
