"Sprite Boy" was a Coca-Cola character introduced in 1942. The character was created by artist Haddon Sundblom and appeared in Coca-Cola advertising throughout the 1940s and 1950s. Sprite Boy was dropped from advertising in 1958.

Sprite Boy's mission was to help consumers connect the nickname "Coke" with the Coca-Cola brand name. The name "Sprite" originated from a previous Coca-Cola campaign, but a focus group ultimately chose the name. The soft drink, Sprite, did not become a Coca-Cola Company product until 1991.
