1896. Argenta owes its existence to the discovery of silver in the nearby mountains. In its heyday, the town boasted a population of several hundred, with numerous businesses and services to support the local mining industry. Ranching and agriculture also played a significant role in the town’s economy. Today, Argenta is a small, quiet community that still retains much of its historic charm.   Sent in a Mylar holder.
