The SK-EX concert grand piano and the SK-5 medium-sized grand piano from Shigeru Kawai, Kawai's best grand piano series, are newly equipped.
Also included is the Kawai Concert Grand Piano EX, which was actually used in the Chopin International Piano Competition, the world's most prestigious piano competition, for a total of three models with built-in grand piano sounds.
For these piano recordings, we selected the best pianos possible because of Kawai's expertise in piano construction and excellent piano tuning by a top-level tuner (*MPA).
By carefully recording each of the 88 keys on these pianos, we have created a piano sound with no compromises.
The HI-XL sound source realizes a realistic piano sound with smooth tone changes from weak to strong blows, and a realistic piano sound with less muddy chords and extended decay, expressing its quality to the fullest.
◆Various Built-in Voices
The built-in voices consist of three sections: PIANO, E.PIANO, and SUB. Each section has its own controls, including a volume fader, effects, reverb control, and tone variations.
By dividing the tones into sections by category, settings such as layer, split, key range, and effects can be operated as independent instruments without affecting the other sections.

The exceptional skills of a skilled piano tuner are essential to bring out the best performance from a concert grand piano.
In addition to accurately tuning tones, he or she can also make various tonal adjustments so that the piano can play true music.
The Virtual Technician function changes the character of the piano tone by simulating the tuner's tuning work.
Various items can be adjusted in real time, such as touch weight, hammer hardness adjustment, noise adjustment when fingers leave the keyboard, string resonance, opening and closing of the large roof, damper resonance, and more.
Virtual Technician is also available for electric pianos. It can be made to sound old-fashioned or in new and as-shipped condition.

The tone character of the amp and cabinet is an important factor in determining the tone of a vintage electric piano.
The amp simulator allows you to play with analog-like warmth and thickness of tone.
In addition to five different amp types, drive level and volume can be finely controlled, and an equalizer and tone edit function are also provided.
In addition, the type of microphone that collects the amp's sound, the placement of the microphones, and the volume of stereo microphones placed far away can be adjusted.

The wooden-keyboard grand feel action has an extended keyboard length and a fulcrum distance equivalent to that of a grand piano, enabling delicate expression without a heavy touch even when the deepest white keys are played.

Let-off is a clicking sensation that is felt when the keys are slowly pressed down, which is unique to grand pianos.
The let-off feel is a mechanism that reproduces this delicate clicking sensation. In addition, all 88 keys are equipped with counterweights that act as weights.
This allows the keys to return to the keyboard as quickly as on a grand piano, enabling the player to move on to the next key quickly and with a light touch, even when playing a piece with a lot of consecutive strokes
