Plus, charging is fully automatic and employs an advanced multi-stage charging algorithm for optimum battery health and longevity. Other automatic features include float mode monitoring and reverse hook-up protection. In addition to fully automatic operation, other notable attributes of the SP1298 include a scrolling digital display, a charging status LED, a folding hook attachment to help hang the unit outside of the work area, and a quick-connect harness with three connector types. The SP1298 is compatible with 12-volt lithium ion (LiFePO4), standard, and AGM batteries.
