Xena & Hercules Animated Adventures  Base set (is based upon the animated movie) ~ Complete 72 card base set and C1-checklist card (as the set was ultimately named by Rittenhouse Archives in 2005 as the whole card series was based partly upon (1) the 1997 Animated full feature film "Hercules & Xena Animated Movie: The Battle for Mount Olympus" AND partly upon both of non-animated TV series:(2) "Xena-Warrior Princess" AND (3) "Hercules-The Legendary Journeys" and many of their recurring TV show characters were not in this base set if they were not a part of this movie! 

Therefore, the title card on this base set reads: "Hercules & Xena The Animated Movie: The Battle for Mount Olympus" even though the whole complete card series (with mulitple insert sets) bore the slightly different name of "Xena & Hercules Animated Adventures" as many of the chase sets' characters were based on the Animated Version of Actors who played recurring roles on both of the Television Series!

(However: the voices of the actors that played those parts did such as Ted Raimi who did the voice of the Titan Crius (he normally appears as Joxer in the TV show Xena:Warrior Princess, among other actors who did the similarly like Alison Wall, Josephine Davison just to name a couple more out of others whose likeness was not used as an animated character in the movie!) 

This Movie used the voices from the actors of the two television series "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" & "Xena: Warrior Princess" for the most of the main characters, as well as some other actors who didn't play their characters on either TV Show-such as Josephine Davison as the voices of Alcmene & Artemis & Peter Rowley as the voice of Zeus, the king of the gods.

Although many actors in this movie Did voice their usual characters as the TV shows (whom they also resembled): Lucy Lawless (as the voice of Xena; who also personally sang beautifully in the animated movie), Kevin Sorbo ( as the voice of Hercules), Kevin Smith (as the voice of Ares, God of War), Alexandra Tydings (voice of Goddess of Love,Aphrodite), Renee O'Connor (voice of Gabrielle), Michael Hurst (voice of Iolaus), there were other, recurring actors from the TV shows whose voices were utilized for completely different-looking characters in this animated movie! 

The scans of these cards do NOT do these gorgeous, colorful & sturdy cards justice! Beautifully Illustrated and arranged, you'll treasure this base set so much, you'll want to get the entire collection (which we also have for sale)!
