The book includes history of Europe at the time leading up to the Congress of Vienna in the early nineteenth century. The book focuses on King Frederik VI of Denmark and his participation in the Congress.  It includes a description and illustrations of music, culinary art, parties, fashion, and garments of the period. The book includes a day by day description of the events of the Congress of Vienna, and provides an illustrated catalog of 459 Congress of Vienna Exhibition items included in the 2002 event, including paintings, documents, Beethoven music memorabilia, and furniture and art objects.

This book is very scarce.  According to world cat, it is available in only two libraries in the United States.  An internet book search indicated it was not available from any of 662 on line sources checked.
