I’m not sure if this charming portrait miniature is a print of some kind, or an original watercolour - I’ve tried to show the details in the photos, but as its beneath concave glass and sealed from the back its a little difficult to see clearly. It shows a lady in Georgian style costume with a large hat, holding a spray of holly branches - I think 1930’s or 40’s in date, set into a shield-shaped velvet covered frame, with hanging loop.

CONDITION - a littler surface wear as you might expect, but generally secure and very decorative

MEASUREMENTS - around 16.5cm from the top of the hanging ring to the bottom of the frame, and 9.8cm across at the wised point. The oval portrait is around 6.8cm by 5.8cm including gold metal band
