This elegant Afghan torc-necklace was handcrafted during the mid-1900's in Nuristan, Central Asia. It is vintage tribal-jewelry, not a new reproduction.

A torc is a distinctive style of choker-necklace that have been worn in Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent for centuries.

This beautiful torc was ornately handmade with a drape of beaded pendants in the center, and lots of charm-dangles on the sides.

The beaded band has a hinge-clasp, with a large hook for securing in place.

This collectible old torc necklace is in excellent condition, with a rich age-patina and wear patterns. As with most old tribal-jewelry, this torc may have missing/replaced/refurbished beads, dangles, charms and possible flaws.
