Condition: this early X-Men issue is one of the more sought after issues. Based on overall condition as conformed to the grading guidelines of CGC and printed in Overstreet, I am inclined to grade it at about 2.5. The corners of the cover are taped as is the full length of the spine. Two new staples have been added where the old ones apparently were not holding well. The interior pages, however, look pretty good without tears, stains or writing. The white pages have not aged too badly and are more cream colored. My suggested grading aside, I am not a qualified comics grader and would refer the interested buyer to all the pictures. Judge for yourself how you would grade it, and more importantly, what value you place on it. It is the purchaser who needs to be satisfied in the final analysis.

Back story: this is one of the remaining comics from my late brother's estate. He was a lifelong avid fan of comics, and actively collected them from about 1965 - 1975. He bought most of his comics new but also nearly as many which he order through the mail from a second-hand comics reseller.  This comic was almost certainly one he bought from a reseller.  As a dedicated fan of all kinds of DC and Marvel Universe comics, he was diligent to handle them with care. As his collection grew, he organized them and boxed them up for safe keeping and for easy access. They were protected from exposure to moisture and also to extended direct light.
