Condition: X-Men #7 has a few strips of tape on the cover as well as a continuous strip of tape along the spine. New staples were also added next to the original staples. The back page has a square missing, due to someone wanting to use the coupon on the inside back page. When I called CGC to ask about how tape and staples affect a comic's value, I was told that they are not usually a main issue for grading. I was told that the practice was fairly common as a way to better preserve their comics. Still, not especially attractive. The inside pages, however, are clean and intact. The white pages have not aged badly and are still eminently readable with good color. I would probably grade this at 3.0. You, the interested buyer, might value it differently up or down. Please examine all the pictures to draw your own conclusions and bid accordingly.

Back story: this is one of the remaining comics from my late brother's estate. He was a lifelong avid fan of comics, and actively collected them from about 1965 - 1975. He bought most of his comics new but bought nearly as many used ones by mail from a second-hand comic reseller. This particular comic was almost certainly obtained through the reseller. My brother was diligent to handle his comics with care. As his collection grew, he organized them and boxed them for safe keeping and for easy access. They were always protected from exposure to moisture and also to extended direct light, especially sunlight.
