1870s Engraving by Thomas Worth

You are bidding on an original antique page from an illustrated newspaper that is over 130 years old. The lines are clean and bold, and it would look wonderful framed.

The engraving shows an itinerant photographer who has set up shop in a village. The sign on his wall reads: "Will Remain in theis Place for Only One Week." A crowd has formed outside. A man and his wife and daughter and son pose in their Sunday best clothing for a picture. The photographer is clearly seen in the dorrway setting his daguerreotype camera.

The page measures approximately 11x16 inches. The image itself is about 9.25 x 13.5 inches. There is a caption beneath it.

The page is in excellent condition for its age.
